With the latest version of Grand Theft Auto Online hitting next-generation consoles with a whole host of visual upgrades, it's rather hard to accept that the game is nearly a decade old. After all, the incredibly detailed graphics paired with high-resolution sound design and gameplay features elevate these new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game right alongside other contemporary releases. So, with the in-game world feeling better than ever before, it is no surprise that many new players are simply hitting the road to explore everything Los Santos offers.

Some of Grand Theft Auto Online's most pivotal series of landmarks have to be the banks and depositories branches located across the vast in-game map. Not only are these financial institutions particularly rendered with an extraordinary amount of detail, but more often than not, they are based on several real-life banks within Los Angeles, California. As a result, these banks are imperative in adding a genuine and immersive layer to the game's already alluring free-roam.

The Fleeca Banks In GTA Online

For the uninitiated, the Fleeca Banks play a major role in Grand Theft Auto Online's heist mode, with players being able to steal from several specific buildings throughout the game. Therefore, scoping out the following locations to make note of any potential getaway routes, flanking positions and incoming gridlock lanes may provide a strategic advantage for players during heist shootouts:

• Legion Square, on Vespucci Boulevard.
• Boulevard Del Perro, in Morningwood.
• Hawick Avenue and Metero Street, in Alta.
• Along Hawick Avenue, in Burton.
• South Rockford Drive, on Palomino Avenue.
• The Great Ocean Highway, in Banham Canyon.
• Blaine County, Route 68 in Harmony.

Kayton Bank in GTA Online

One of the biggest structures in Grand Theft Auto Online, The Kayton Towers, is a group of three towers on San Andreas Avenue and Movie Star Way in Little Seoul, Los Santos. Each building is over ten stories tall, with businesses such as coffee shop terraces, Internet cafes, and various stores located on the first floors of each building.

Lombank Depositories In GTA Online

Making appearances within multiple Grand Theft Auto universes, Lombank has two main offices and three smaller branches across Los Santos. Unfortunately, none of the following branches can be entered and players can only view these establishments from the outside:

• San Andreas Avenue, in Little Seoul.
• Rockford Hills, on South Boulevard Del Perro.
• Aguja Street, in Vespucci Canals.

The Pacific Standard Bank In GTA Online

At the intersection of Alta Street and Vinewood Boulevard in Downtown Vinewood, Los Santos. The Pacific Standard Public Deposit Bank is the prime target during the final Grand Theft Auto Online heist DLC. After multiple setup missions, players can loot up to $1,250,000 from the Pacific Standard bank vault.

Maze Bank In GTA Online

The tallest skyscraper in Grand Theft Auto Online, the headquarters of Maze Bank is in Pillbox Hill, Downtown Los Santos. On top of this, Maze has a smaller presence in Southern San Andreas, with branches throughout the Los Santos Metropolitan Area.

The Union Depository In GTA Online

Featured predominately in the story mode to Grand Theft Auto 5, the Union Depository can be found on 17 Power Street in Pillbox Hill, Downtown Los Santos. Unlike other banks on the list, not directly based on any building in Los Angeles, California. Nevertheless, its iconic presence on the map cannot be understated, with many players considering the Union Depository bank heist to be the best in the game.

Penris Bank In GTA Online

The last bank in Grand Theft Auto Online, Penris, is just north of the IAA Headquarters on Swiss Street, in Pillbox Hill, Downtown Los Santos. The Wedbush Securities Building, an office edifice in Downtown Los Angeles, heavily inspired its appearance in the game.
