So, just played a few games with this new "Bleedthrough" thing. Can we just like... not use it?Supposedly from what I've read it's supposed to kill you if the damage you would take from a headshot from a DMR or similar would weapon pop your shields and deal damage to your health. Here's the problem: My brother and I both have experienced being killed from half shields or more in one shot. Can we just go back to shields = You can still live one more shot to the head please? < > Exibindo comentários 113 de 13 Wang Ver perfil Ver mensagens 10/dez./2019 às 20:16 whole point of bleedthrough is to make it more skill based as headshots actually matter when shooting someone with shieldsalso makes melee trading more responsive because auto/plasma weapons are utilized more #1 Chimizilla Ver perfil Ver mensagens 10/dez./2019 às 20:16 Shields have always been too safe. No point in extending the time to kill, even with bleedthrough enabled it's easy to just 100% "nope" a situation on reaction if there's cover nearby (there always will be). #2 Toasty Ver perfil Ver mensagens 10/dez./2019 às 20:28 Turning off bleedthrough cancels damage if it would be more than enough to break the shield. Without bleedthrough the following situation would happen a lot:Player A is damaged and has 10 health and 10 ShieldPlayer B headshots Player A dealing 20 damagePlayer A only takes 10 damage to their shield; breaking itThe remaining 10 damage does not carry over and Player A survives with 10 HPWith bleedthrough on the situation above would look like this:Player A is damaged and has 10 health and 10 ShieldPlayer B headshots Player A dealing 20 damagePlayer A takes the full 20 damage; 10 to break shields and 10 to the remaining HPPlayer A dies #3 Toasty Ver perfil Ver mensagens 10/dez./2019 às 20:29 If you're getting killed in one shot through shields then you were killed by a sniper, shotgun, or melee. #4 Solana Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 5:45

My brother and I were playing 2v2s last night and the only weapons on the map were Shotguns and Needle Rifles (it's the space station map from one of the DLC. I forget the name.) we saw both players and we were all engaged in a DMR duel. I was watching my shields because I knew what Bleedthrough could do and I told my brother to do the same. We both watched our shields go to half and then we both dropped dead within a second of each other so it wasn't two shots being received at the same time. While I understand Bleedthrough is a nice mechanic for competitive modes why is it being turned on for casual modes like 2v2s and BTB? #5 TheEmperor55 Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 7:59 Bleedthrough damage essentially breaks the safety net Halo shielding traditionally provides in most situations, from a practical standpoint it makes sense that extra damage carries over but from a classic standpoint some may prefer the safety net. #6 nullsignal Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 8:07 Can we get rid of TU altogether? #7 Idouts Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 8:10

Bleedthrough was not enabled in most social gamemodes when reach was on console. It was really complained about when it was like it currently is now on PC so Bungie changed it. 343 better do the same. #8 TheEmperor55 Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 8:13

I think there's definitely room for improvement. #9 Mopped Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 8:16

Yeah well, when people have aim assist.... I mean aimbot, that new addition really ruins the experience. #10 Solana Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 14:27

This isnt "new" its been in the game for about years. LEARN STOP COMPAINING
How do I learn when I die after 2 hits? Don't get shot? In a shooter? My original thought would be to just avoid playlists with this enabled, but then I realized that it's on in just about every playlist. #11 aG| Wardog Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 14:30

This. Or at least give us the option to play matches without it outside Invasion. #12 Toasty Ver perfil Ver mensagens 11/dez./2019 às 17:43

You most likely got hit by headshots.Playing without bleedthrough makes the game extremely cheesy. Many of the other Halo games didn't need bleedthrough because they didn't have a health system.

Just play the game. You'll get familiar with how much damage someone can take before they're within melee or headshot kill range.
