reviewsLiving in Hampstead has been a pretty good experience overall — it’s a nice, peaceful community with friendly people and a comfortable atmosphere. I really like how clean and safe the area feels, and there’s a strong sense of community that makes it a great place to live. However, one thing I’d love to see change is the lack of nearby public and recreational places. It would be great to have more parks, hangout spots, or fun activities closer to home — things like a community center, more restaurants, or entertainment options that don’t require driving far. Adding more local places to go out and enjoy would make Hampstead feel even more lively and connected.

reviewsI’ve lived in Hampstead, NC my entire life, and it has changed drastically in recent years. With so many new residents moving in, the town has struggled to keep up. Traffic is constant, schools are overflowing, and it feels like every open space is turning into another storage unit or tightly packed housing development. The bypass that could help relieve congestion is still years from completion, which makes daily travel frustrating. Despite these challenges, Hampstead still has its positives. There are great local businesses and a strong sense of community for those who have been here a long time. I’d love to see more thoughtful planning that preserves Hampstead’s small-town feel while still accommodating growth in a sustainable way.

reviewsBeautiful landscape. I can ride my bicycle along shady streets while gazing at the intercoastal waterway and view of Topsail Island. Neighborhoods are very safe. I'm a teacher who likes quiet time at home, I like living close to the beach, and I find it easy to get to Wilmington if I need to. If there's an accident on highway 17, traffic comes to a standstill, but that's everywhere. No need to live here if wild nightlife is your thing. It's a very relaxing town with lots of nice tap rooms that have live music, good grocery stores, lots of medical facilities, a short ride to the beach. It's also a very family friendly town, and Kiwanis Park has live music all summer with its Alive After 5 concert series. This is where you come for a quality, low key lifestyle, not a place for people who need bars and nightclubs.
