HANFORD, Calif. (FOX26) — Former lead singer of Journey and Hanford native, Steve Perry, now has a permanent seat in Civic Park in Hanford.

The Facebook group “Addicted to Steve Perry” approached the city about eight months ago with the idea of placing a plaque on a park bench at Civic Park, located in front of Hanford Civic Auditorium.

Civic Park was chosen upon approval from the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Hanford City Council.

The fan club designed and provided the plaque, and the Parks Division Installed it.

Perry was born in Hanford and lived in Lemoore before going on to be the front man for the band, Journey.
