Harry Potter's Ralph Fiennes Reveals Hidden Secret Of Voldemort's ...

If you've ever wondered why Voldemort's wand never falls out of his hand in Harry Potter, Ralph Fiennes has let us all in on a little secret.

In many of his scenes, He Who Must Not Be Named is seen holding his wand with little grip, which in any normal circumstances would subject it to that old Muggle trick of gravity.

However, the actor has revealed that he and the production team had a sneaky way around it – and it doesn't involve magic, unfortunately.

"With Stuart Craig, who's the production designer, and his team, we discussed what the wand would be," Fiennes told GQ.

"It has a hook on it, so I can hold my hand, and then the end can hook around this finger. Like I almost have the hand open... you'd think it would fall off the hand. But I just enjoyed that it could be light in the hand."

Fiennes also opened up about one of his favourite scenes, which just so happens to be the last time we see him on screen.

"I loved shooting the death duel, that was cool, with Daniel [Radcliffe] in the courtyard," the actor continued. "That was epic."

And when asked how he created the facial intensity during filming without all the special effects, he joked: "You just have to hate Harry Potter... with a deep loathing.

"I'll be pissed if they brought back Voldemort and didn't ask me!"

Meanwhile, the star recently revealed why he almost turned down the role of the iconic villain, admitting he wouldn't have taken the part if it wasn't for his sister's children.
