It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Road Dog located in The Splinterlands on Pandora.

Special Weapon Effects[]

So, my demons. Your time has come.

• +400% weapon damage (+505% with parts). -20% reload time. +22% recoil height. +75% accuracy bloom. Always incendiary. Fixed parts.
• Fires 10 pellets that forms an inverted pentagram pattern.
• Makes heavy electric guitar noises when fired and picked up. Barrels turn red hot after firing.

Usage & Description[]

The Hellwalker has extremely high damage and a short reload, but low accuracy, indicative of the weapon's intended use as a mobile hip-fire shotgun. This coupled with its high knockback makes it extremely useful for taking down unarmored targets successively. Despite having a fixed element, it can still punch through shields and sometimes armor effectively to decimate flesh-based enemies protected by it.

Notes[]

• The Hellwalker always spawns with the "Speedloadn'" prefix.
• The Hellwalker is extremely useful with FL4K's Fade Away and Leave No Trace skills. As every pellet will score a critical hit during Fade Away, it is possible to keep shooting and deal large amounts of damage without reloading when the skill is active.
• Moze's Cloud of Lead and Some for the Road skills allow for the Hellwalker to be fired multiple times from a single magazine, massively increasing its damage potential.
• Anointments that grant bonus damage for the next one or two magazines are not recommended due to the small magazine size.
• The Hellwalker always has a magazine of 2 and consumes 2 ammo per shot. Therefore, using skills, artifacts or class mods to increase the magazine size by 50% doubles the number of shots needed before reloading.
• The Hellwalker's barrels have a special effect that increases heat per shot by +900%, making it turns red after each shot (which is rare on Jacobs weapons) without further effect.

Trivia[]

• The Hellwalker is a reference to the Super shotgun from the Doom franchise, particularly the iteration seen in DOOM (2016).
  • The musical effects that play when the weapon is picked up and fired are reminiscent of certain notes heard in the DOOM (2016) soundtrack, such as those in BFG Division by Mick Gordon.
• The flavor text is from the first line of lyrics from the TesseracT song Concealing Fate, Part 2: Deception.
• The weapon's muzzle will glow red hot and audibly smolder if left idle for extended periods, lasting until it is switched out.
• Though it can be hard to tell because of the firing sound, the Hellwalker has an almost inaudible reload.
  • This can be seen by pausing and unpausing the game, or switching between weapons as soon as the gun is fired, which cuts off the guitar.
