I don't think you are able to copy text already written in a book (although I may be wrong, as I actually have never tried myself), but if you know that you need several copies of a book I guess you could write the text outside of MC in a different program and then copy & paste into books.

So I guess for your question, you will still have to copy & paste from an external text editing program. Unfortunately I don't think there is much you can do if you have written it in minecraft already apart from writing it out again.
