Hi,

well my slinky is bent at a point and so there is a gap between 2 of the rings and i cant fix

does any1 know how 2 save my slinky?

    Brands are infiltrating Reddit to rank better on Google's AI search by Ivan Jenic Reddit’s Q4 earnings call has, among other things, revealed that brands are increasingly reorganizing their digital marketing structures to be more focused on the platform. Reddit CEO Steven Huffman said that companies are now dedicating entire teams to Reddit, in an effort to capitalize on its favorable position in Google search. This trend, although not obvious from the start, isn’t surprising. Reddit content now dominates Google search results and powers AI responses in tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Reddit threads are especially prominent in Google’s AI Overviews, as this new search feature predominantly uses Reddit as a source for its answers. Google and Reddit signed a data-licensing deal in 2024, reportedly worth $60 million annually, which made their two core products more compatible with one another. The deal ensures that Google will use Reddit threads as major sources for AI overviews, while Reddit will use Google’s AI infrastructure for its own platform. As a result, Reddit became the number one cited source in AI-generated answers, appearing in over 40% of AI responses. For brands, showing up authentically in those threads means getting cited by AI, especially in the current web search landscape, which sees a decrease in organic clicks by up to 60% in favor of quick AI overviews. Self-promotion on Reddit is nothing new, but a sudden influx of too many brands could drastically change the platform dynamics. The community is generally against self-promotion per posting guidelines; brands know this, so they will keep coming up with ways to stay on the platform. While some pursue legitimate, value-first engagement, others will likely try to push boundaries with subtler tactics that border on manipulation. Reddit CEO advocates for an organic connection between brands and the audience: It will be interesting to see how brands and regular users will continue to coexist on the platform. If companies view Reddit merely as a mechanism to manipulate AI search results, the platform risks losing its original appeal that was powered by genuine, unfiltered human interaction, not marketing. And Google’s AI search that uses the same data as a source could become just an echo chamber of promotional pitches disguised as genuine advice.

    Good news for YouTube TV users: cheaper plans are now available by David Uzondu YouTube is introducing more than 10 TV plans designed to give viewers specific slices of content (Sports, News, Entertainment, and Family) without forcing them to buy the full $82.99/month package. The new plans include a dedicated Sports Plan that costs $64.99 a month, or $54.99 for the first year if you're a new user. This tier saves subscribers about $18 compared to the main Base Plan and packs in major broadcasters along with heavy hitters such as FS1, NBC Sports Network, and all the ESPN networks. YouTube even plans to add ESPN Unlimited later this fall. The Sports + News Plan runs $71.99 a month and bundles in networks such as CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, and Fox News. The Entertainment Plan offers channels like Comedy Central, Bravo, Food Network, and HGTV for $28 less than the standard subscription ($54.99). There is also a News + Entertainment + Family Plan for $69.99 that mixes in channels like Disney Channel, National Geographic, and Nickelodeon.     Last day to update Apple Home if you want to keep using your smart home setup by Aditya Tiwari Apple is finally getting ready to retire the older version of Apple Home built on the legacy HomeKit architecture, after keeping its newer replacement around for several years. Apple has been reminding users to update their Apple Home app and jump over to the new HomeKit architecture. It announced that support for the older version of Apple Home will end on February 10, 2026. You will be prompted to update to the latest version if you are part of a home that contains at least one smart home accessory, such as a HomePod, Apple TV, or smart light bulb Apple said. Such reminders will appear in the Home app, the Settings app, or as emails. However, your Apple Home app may also update automatically if you're running an older version. The Home app has been available since 2016, and Apple rebuilt its underlying smart home architecture alongside major design upgrades in iOS 16. Support for the Matter smart home standard was also added to iOS 16 in a later software update, unlocking a variety of accessories for Apple Home users. Among the upgrades, the new Apple Home improves smart home accessory performance and adds features including guest access, support for robot vacuums, and Activity History. Apple has introduced features such as Adaptive Temperature and hands-free unlocking on the iPhone through recent updates. To update the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac, tap on the More button (three dots) > Home Settings > Software Update. Your Apple device will only work with the updated Apple Home if it's running iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, macOS 13.1, tvOS 16.2, or watchOS 9.2 or later. Apple notes that all homes you have in the app will be updated simultaneously, and the message "This home and all accessories are up to date" will appear once the job is complete.

The Microsoft-owned company said that the new model reached new high scores on benchmarks it uses during testing, with improvements in reasoning and executing in complex, long-running workflows that use tools. This has resulted in 25% faster performance over GPT-5.2-Codex on agentic coding tasks. To use the new Codex model, you will need to be a Copilot Pro, Pro+, Business, or Enterprise customer. You can choose the model in the model picker in Visual Studio Code in all modes (chat, ask, edit, agent), github.com. GitHub Mobile (iOS and Android), GitHub CLI, and GitHub Copilot Coding Agent. If you do not see it yet, that’s because GitHub is doing a gradual rollout.
