Thank Commach. Is ethanol spirit(火酒) really used for cooking in the old days? I did saw ethanol spirit aka 火酒 from googling, but was unsure if it can be use as burning fuel. Also will the fuel "dirty" and cause smell to the food or drink cooking with it?:s11: T

Positive, I was using 火酒 in the 60s and 70s until my family finally switch to using gas stove in the late 70s. The spirit was use for heating up the kerosine stove before you can pressurised the stove to cook. You're not using it as bbq fuel right? If using it as fuel cooking with pot or pan, it,s ok, no unpleasure smell or whatsoever. In the sixties, every home sure have ethanol spirit, a must have item before you can cook anything using kerosine stove. Only those living in kampung are not using kerosine stove but burning woods which are not welcomed in the city. C

Isopopryl is fine. i've used it to wash my macbook pro trackpad when it started getting jumpy. it worked like a charm. 86technie

Don't use Tissue the fiber may get caught in the mainboard. Use gauze pad (Pharmacy) gauze-pad.jpg Or 3M Microfiber cloth (Dry one but not wet) Self fix or Home fix, the small piece one which can be also be used to wipe HP. 138893.jpg idjekyll

To add on, don't use cotton pads either; they too will be shredded especially when working with soldering projects (just finished one) How much do these pads cost and from which pharmacy by the way? harky

I found this link selling at $2.70 per 600 ml. Didn't know that it can be use on both stove cooking and kerosene lamp. Will go and get it and try out later, many thanks :) https://www.horme.com.sg/product.as...riteo&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=lowerfunnel T

Bro, this is about twice the price and only 1/5 the volume of ethanol spirit(火酒) thatI am lookng for. It's more suitable for first aid wound cleaning more than as burning fuel. Many thank for your input :) Last edited: Mar 14, 2017 TRDKids
