Here's Why Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 Should Arrive In ...

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 has finally come to an end. The latest 12 episodes of the final season took the series whole another level. However, as many fans in the anime community expected, AoT will return with Season 4 Part 3 to conclude the story.

The Attack on Titan manga series ended after 139 chapters, but Part 2 of the Final season only ran until 130 chapters. So, it was pretty evident that the anime would return with more episodes. Of course, there were rumors that MAPPA would complete the story with an anime movie, but honestly, a single film could not handle the depth of nine chapters. So, the decision to bring Season 4 Part 3 felt more likely.

Right after the broadcast of Part 2's final episode, MAPPA released a teaser video to confirm Season 4, Part 3 of Attack on Titan. The third part will start by adapting Chapter 131 of the manga series, and while we don't have an exact release date for episode 88, we know that anime will return sometime in 2023.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Might Start in January 2023

We already know that the third part will begin sometime in 2023, but we don't have an exact release date. Nevertheless, it's safe to assume that we'll get new Attack on Titan episodes starting January next year.

The first part of Attack on Titan Season 4 started in December 2021, during the Winter anime season. After sixteen episodes, Mappa took a break and returned with Part 2 in January 2022, which was also the Winter season of anime. Now, considering that MAPPA already has the required source material, the studio might already be working on part 3 of the Final Season.

Also, the second phase adapted a total of 13 chapters in the course of 12 episodes, whereas Part 3 will only have to cover the events of the final nine chapters. So, our best guess is that we'll get around 9-10 episodes in the third phase. So, the rest of 2022 seems enough for MAPPA to complete the final set of episodes. And when you consider all that along with the release pattern of Final season Part 1 and Part 2, Attack on Titan might very well return in January 2023.

Nevertheless, this is only our prediction based on MAPPA's previous release record with Attack on Titan. It's still too early to put a stamp on a particular release date. However, we should get more information about Part 3's release date in the next few months.
