Hisoka Morrow is a character in Hunter X Hunter who acts as the antagonist for much of the series and is crazy about enemies with great potential.

Background 

Hisoka is a Hunter who became the number 4 member of the Phantom Troupe for a while so he could have a boss fight. He is always on the lookout for strong opponents, and would spare those who have great potential, such as Gon and Killua, in order for them to eventually grow stronger and thus challenge him to finish them off. When Kurapika uses the Judgment Chain on Chrollo, Hisoka ceases to be a member of the Phantom Troupe, however, he continues to help them to find an exorcist of Nen and thus get his long-awaited fight against the leader of the Troupe.

Timeskip #1

• Superhuman Physicality: Despite his young age, Gon has managed to increase his strength, speed, and durability to superhuman levels.
• Enhanced Senses: Gon possesses incredible senses, being able to see in the dark, spot people from the top of a tall tree, smell when a storm is coming, taste something described as tasteless, can see people at a vast distance and his sense of smell can rival the sense of smell of a dog.
• Hand-to-Hand Expert: Gon is able to show some good skill at hand-to-hand combat skill against any other experienced fighters like Hisoka Morow.
• Incredible Healing Factor: His healing factor allows him to heal his broken arm for a month which was suppose to heal for four months by a weapon and can stand up a few minutes after being paralysed by a poison injected to him which would've paralyzed him for ten days if it weren't for his healing factor.
• Nen: Nen is the ability to use the life energy, or aura, of the user and manipulate it. Gon's Nen type is Enhancer, meaning he specializes in using his aura to increase his physical abilities.
  • Ten: By forming a shroud of aura around the user's body, they can use it as a basic defense against Nen attacks, though it doesn't protect against physical attacks. Ten also slows down the user's aging process and keep their body from breaking down over time.
  • Zetsu: Keeps the user's aura from leaking out of their body, making them harder to sense and relieving fatigue, at the cost of leaving them defenseless against Nen attacks.
• Jajanken: Rock uses Nen to enhance Gon's fist with aura for a stronger punch, Scissors transforms Gon's aura into a long and sharp energy blade that extends from his middle and index fingers, and Paper fires a blast of Aura from Gon's hand.
• Lightning Palm (雷掌イズツシ Izutsushi): As the name suggests, Killua can shock an opponent by touching them with his palms.
• Muscle and Joint Control: Killua can dislodge his joints at will in less than a second. He demonstrated this ability by dislocating his shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers to free himself from Machi's strings.
• Claws: Killua can turn his hands into a claw-like appearance and utilize them just like claws. These claws are sharper than knives and can tear a limb easily.
• Thunderbolt (落雷ナルカミ Narukami): Killua is also able to project large bolt of lightning from his hands, striking an opponent with electricity from a distance which paralyzes them.
• Aura Synthesis: By devouring other living beings, Meruem can use their aura to boost his strength and aura size, heal himself, and gain their Nen abilities.

Timeskip #2

• Rhythm Echo (肢曲しきょく, Shikyoku): An assassination art, the Rhythm Echo is a motion that creates an afterimage of the body through a varying cadence of steps. There is a total absence of noise during the movement and multiple phantoms.
• Gyo: Focuses aura into a single part of the body to increase its strength, at the cost of leaving the rest of the body more vulnerable. Using Gyo on the eyes allows the user to see someone else's aura, or other hidden objects.
• Shu: Extends the user's aura onto an object that they're holding, enhancing its strength.
• Double Face (栞のテーマダブルフェイス Bookmark Theme): This bookmark allows Chrollo to maintain access to any ability on the page it is placed, even if the book is closed and he is not touching it, circumventing one of the Limitations placed on Skill Hunter.
• Fun Fun Cloth (不思議で便利な大風呂敷ファンファンクロス Wondrous Convenient Kerchief): This cloth is conjured, and can increase and decrease in size according to the user's will. Whatever is covered in the fabric decreases in size until it fits in the palm of a hand. The user can make it go back to its original size by letting it out of the bag. People can also be shrunk this way without being injured.
• Gallery Fake (神の左手悪魔の右手ギャラリーフェイク Divine Left Hand, Demonic Right Hand): When Chrollo touches an object with his left hand, his Nen ability allows him to conjure a replica of that object with his right hand.
• Godspeed: With his hair, hands and feet changed into electric type aura, Killua's Kanmuru ability allows him to react and move his body at speeds that would typically be physically impossible
  • Whirlwind (疾しっ風ぷう迅じん雷らい, Shippū Jinrai): This allows Killua to react automatically, which he uses to evade enemy attacks with flawless speed and timing.
  • Speed of Lightning (電でん光こう石せっ火か, Denkō Sekka): The ability to move his body according to his own will, used to travel long distances at high speed.

Timeskip #3

• Immense Strength, Agility, Speed, Durability and Stamina: His physical attributes are naturally already higher than ordinary people due to Hisoka being a very capable hunter.
• In: An advanced form of Zetsu that hides the user's aura without forcing them to shut it off, making it perfect for sneak attacks.
• Ken: A combination of Ten and Ren, using Ren to enhance the user's aura before enveloping themselves with it, providing greater defense than Ten.
• Metamorphosis: After eating Menthuthuyoupi, one of his royal guards, Meruem gained his ability to use Nen to shapeshift his body. Using this power, Meruem can grow extra limbs, extra eyes, and wings that let him fly at supersonic speeds.
• Ryu: The real-time use of Gyo, shifting the concentration of aura between two body parts in quick succession.
• Assassin Mode: Killua can enter a state of heightened concentration in which he focuses entirely on killing the enemy, preventing himself from hesitating.
• Ko: Concentrates all of the user's aura into one part of their body, making it incredibly powerful, at the cost of the rest of the body being completely defenseless.
• Pain Packer (許されざる者パインパッカー Unforgiven): Activated by Feitan's rage; he seemingly only uses it when angered. Phinks implies that there are numerous forms of Pain Packer. Feitan uses his aura to conjure a protective armor around himself.
• Rising Sun (太陽に灼かれてライジングサン Burnt by the Sun): Feitan transmutes his aura into scorching heat, its power depending on the pain and injuries inflicted to him in battle. The ability is manifested through emitting a ball of aura into the air, which then transforms into a miniature sun that burns the victim to death; the more damage received, the hotter the fire, and the longer it will burn.
• Order Stamp (人間の証明オーダースタンプ Proof of Humanity): Chrollo conjures a stamp that, when affixed onto a "puppet," allows the user to control it by giving a vocal command. To be considered a puppet, the object that the user wishes to control must have a head and be lifeless.
• Convert Hands (転校生コンバートハンズ Transfer Student): Two marks appear on the palms of Chrollo's hand. The one on the right consists of a black ring with a black arrow pointing towards his middle finger. The area that is not occupied by the arrow is white. Touching someone with this mark will cause them to take on Chrollo's likeliness. The mark on his left hand has the opposite color scheme, and the arrow points towards Chrollo's wrist. By touching someone with this mark, Chrollo can take on their likeliness.

Timeskip #4

• Incredible Stealth Skills: Gon has shown to be very skilled at stealth as he can easily conceal his presence from others and trailed Hisoka Morow for several days without being spotted, as Hisoka can sense the presence from other people.
• Rage Blast: Another ability gained from Youpi, which lets Meruem condense his aura into a powerful energy blast.
• Photon: After eating Shaiapouf, another royal guard, Meruem gained his ability to transmute his aura into photons and spread them throughout the surrounding area. Meruem can then measure the size, shape, quality, emotion, and other traits of whatever the photons interact with. By spreading the photons out in a sphere around him, Meruem can teleport to anywhere inside the sphere instantly.
• Teleportation: The ability to teleport a person/thing back and forth from one place to another.
• Lovely Ghostwriter (天使の自動筆記ラブリーゴーストライター Angelic Auto Writing): It creates accurate predictions of anyone's future, excluding the user. The ability requires a person's full name, date of birth, and blood type.
• Ren: Expands the size and intensity of the user's aura to boost their strength and durability.

Timeskip #5

• Master Strategist: During his time playing Gungi with Komugi, Meruem managed to learn a lot about strategy and tactics. He has a supernatural foresight, letting him predict his enemy's moves with incredible accuracy. During his fight with Netero, Meruem was able to pick up on a pattern in his attacks so small that not even Netero noticed it.
• En: Expands the user's aura in a spherical radius around them, letting them sense the shape and movement of anything that enters it.
• The Snake Awakens (蛇活 (だかつ), Dakatsu): He moves his arms with incredible speed and cuts everything which comes in contact with.
• Indoor Fish (密室遊魚インドアフィッシュ Fish Playing Behind Closed Doors): A conjured fish that can only survive in a completely sealed room. The supernatural fish feeds on human flesh. While the person is being fed, neither feel pain nor lose blood and stay conscious despite being mortally wounded. Once the fish disappears, the usual effects of the wounds manifest, often killing the victim.
• Sun and Moon (番いの破壊者サンアンドムーン Paired Destruction): Two symbols appear on Chrollo's hands: a sun with a plus on the left and a waxing/waning moon with a minus on the right. He can mark the target with a different symbol depending on which hand he used by touching the intended target. When the two marks contact each other, they trigger an explosion.
• Ryu: Is Ken's use of Gyo in active combat, assigning aura percentages to different body parts when necessary.
• Black Voice (携帯する他人の運命ブラックボイス Mobile Fate Director): A stolen ability from Shalnark which allows Chrollo to completely manipulate a target by sticking an antenna into them and piloting them through his phone.
