Why "Green"? ExplainedWhat makes us "Green"?How do we do it? What makes us "Green"? Rather than adding new brick and mortar imaging centers, we purchase unused capacity at existing imaging centers at a discount and pass that savings along to individual patients and employer funded health plans. Our images, reports, invoicing and records are all electronic, no film or paper waste. We provide centralized access to 4500+ centers nationally saving patients untold hours in aggregate shopping for high quality care at affordable prices, they keep more "green" in their bank accounts!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t Green Imaging provide a list of clinic addresses, names, and phone numbers?Green Imaging’s services do not include walk-ins to imaging facilities. To curtail walk-ins from occurring, we do not share clinic information until a patient schedules an appointment.
How can I access my medical records? You are entitled to a free copy of your exam on CD at the time of your exam. Extra CD copies or digital exam files or other records requests come with a fee; please contact our office and we can arrange that for you. Requests for prior exam reports can be initiated with the secure messaging feature.
What should I expect after I complete my exam? Our radiologists will evaluate your exam and send a report to your referring physician. Your referring physician will follow-up with you directly to explain the results and the next steps in your care plan.
I have claustrophobia, do you have an open MRI?Yes, we have comfortable open MRI units, and we also have upright open MRI units. We also offer sedation for your exam if necessary. Our goal is to make sure you feel calm and are able to complete your exam so that no repeat study is necessary.
What type of MRIs do you perform? Most MRIs are performed on 1.5 Tesla standard machines, but we also offer 3T, open, upright, and large bore options as well.
Do you provide second opinions?Yes we do. Please call or inquire via our secure messaging located near the bottom of the home page.
Can I have a procedure performed without a referring physician? The majority of exams performed by Green Imaging require a signed physician order. This helps us best determine which procedure is needed as well as to provide your cost. If you are having trouble obtaining your order from your physician, we can assist in obtaining one and sometimes provide one for a small fee.
How can I pay for my exam? Many of our patients are self-pay, whether or not they have traditional insurance because our pricing is usually competitive with fewer hassles. Many other patients are incentivized by their employers to use our services in lieu of their traditional insurance plan to hold down costs. We also work with many health sharing ministries and other cost containment programs. If you have met your deductible or plan to do so for traditional insurance, message us and we can usually point you to a partner site that is in-network with your plan.
Are there people who shouldn't have an MRI scan?Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, is a safe procedure, and most people who need a scan can have one. MRI not be recommended for people who have metal implants including cochlear implants, pacemakers, implanted hearing aids, some aneurysm clips, among others. People with exposure to metal fragments such as sheet metal works or welders may require an x-ray first to make sure they are safe for an MRI. Special arrangements can be made, please contact us.
What's the best way to order a patient exam?If you are a physician or medical facility and would like to refer a patient, please message us securely here on our messaging portal, provide your order via EMR, fax (866-653-0882), or use our convenient app, Green Patient Connect. We’ll handle scheduling, pre-certification, and patient prep.
