- Next, make the lemon garlic mixture by combining the ingredients in a saucepan on your stove over low heat. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sear your fish for 3 minutes per side.

Expert Tips and Tricks for the Perfect Mahi Mahi Every Time
- Use fresh fish. It really is the best way to enjoy this dish.
- Make sure the filets are the same size. They should be about 4 ounces each and have about 1-inch of thickness.
- Pat them dry. If you don’t, they won’t sear.
- Get the oil hot. If you don’t get that oil super-hot, you won’t get a good browning on that fish. The browning adds flavor to pan fried mahi mahi.
- Make sure the oven is ready. You want to preheat at the beginning so you can move the fish into the oven from the stove seamlessly.

What goes well with Mahi Mahi
We love a fresh and crisp salad with a lemon vinaigrette. It goes beautifully with this dish. You can choose steamed rice or quinoa plus sauteed green veggies. I always go with whatever is fresh and in season so something like asparagus, spinach, or broccoli works well with this.

You’ll need to put your mahi mahi leftovers in an airtight container in your fridge.
How Long Does Mahi Mahi Last?
It will be good for about 3 to 4 days in your fridge. From there, you will want to take any leftovers and put them in the freezer.

Yes you can. It makes for a fabulous meal in minutes when you have it ready. Just take the steps to store it in airtight containers or freezer bags. I recommend using it within 4 months.
How to Reheat Mahi Mahi?
Let it thaw overnight in your fridge. Then heat it in your oven at 275F for about 15 minutes. This low temperature will warm it through without overcooking it.
