Original poster Apr 18, 2015 487 396 NYC I basically had to silence the room, and repeat (about 14x) "hey Siri speak louder" the first 7 did basically nothing, then every 2 or 3 it got a little louder. But at its loudest is only 80% of what it use to beItinj24

Nov 8, 2017 4,739 2,780 New York There’s a new feature with OS 15 that Siri will speak at a volume in accordance with the environment and the user’s tone. That might have something to do with it. Don’t make the room so quiet and see what happens I guess…B/D

Original poster Apr 18, 2015 487 396 NYC thanks guys, tried all those. the only thing that got it back up in audible range was to sternly, rapidly, repeat myself. (even did a reset early on in the process) I get it its a new iOS but man! some of these kinks should be ironed out before release not in the .2.3.4 etcShanghaichica

Apr 8, 2013 14,902 13,510 UK Hmm. I’m alone in the house now. All of my HomePods Siri volumes are fine apart from the one in the kitchen which was so low I barley heard it agree to play the news just before.Itinj24

Mar 30, 2016 1,620 1,227 @Itinj24, How is the overall max volume of your original homepods now ?. For me they sound cleaner than 14.7, but still lower than pre 14.6....Itinj24

Click to expand...When I press the play button in the music, while one of the HomePods is selected, the play button turns to a pause button, then goes back to play button after a few seconds. Tried using Siri but she says there’s a problem with Apple Music. Was busy with kids and homework but I’ll give it another shot shortly. Maybe reboot the HomePod.

Nov 8, 2017 4,739 2,780 New York Ok so it looks like the issue was with one HomePod. I tried on another and your assessment seems spot on. A lot cleaner but I’d say just a tad lower in volume. I’ve no issue with it though. I don’t think I ever need 100% volume. It’s plenty loud even at around 80%. I blew out the speakers on one of my Samsung Note phones a few years ago so since then I’ve been very reluctant to turning anything up to 100% volume.Itinj24
