Frankenstein is an outcast because he is part of the monster’s creation, and his creator wants nothing to do with him. Prometheus is an outcast because he has been punished for stealing fire from the gods. Both characters are shunned by society, but they both remain strong despite this rejection.

2. Both Frankenstein and Prometheus are misunderstood.

Frankenstein doesn’t understand why his creator wants nothing to do with him, so he tries to make sense of it on his own—which leads him down a dark path where he begins to question everything about himself and his purpose in life—and eventually leads him to commit horrible acts against humanity at large (murdering humans). Prometheus doesn’t understand why Zeus punished him for giving humans fire, so he decides to take matters into his own hands (by stealing fire from Zeus) in order to help humans become more advanced creatures who can live longer lives without having to rely on their gods for everything from lighting their homes at night through cooking their food during the day (which seems to be one of the biggest problems facing humanity at this time). Both characters want what’s best for mankind.
