How Big Do Pomskies Get?

Full grown adult pomskies range in size depending on a couple of factors:

  • The type of Pomeranian husky mix
  • Parents of the pomsky

Average Pomsky Size

On average, you can expect a full grown 50/50 pomsky to be about:

A full grown adult pomsky is approximately 10 to 15 inches tall

  • 10 to 15 inches tall (from floor to shoulder blade)
  • 12 to 17 inches long (from chest to rear)
  • 20 to 30 pounds in weight

There is no guarantee that a pomsky will be EXACTLY these dimensions, but typically you can expect your 50/50 pomsky to be about this size.

How Fast Do Pomskies Grow?

A pomsky typically reaches its full grown size within a year. By six months the pomsky is more than half way done growing; by a year you can expect your pomsky to be just about fully grown.

How to Estimate The Size Of Your Pomsky

The size of a full grown pomsky depends heavily on the parent and the type of cross breed. The breeder will not be able to guarantee size, but they will be able to provide a rough estimate of a litter’s size based on the parent’s size and the pomskies growth within the first couple weeks after being born.

Parents Of The Pomsky

The average female Siberian husky is about 20 to 22 inches tall and weighs 35 to 50 pounds, whereas the average male Pomeranian is 8 to 11 inches tall and weighs 3 to 7 pounds. If a pomsky is bred from a smaller female Siberian husky and smaller Pomeranian, you can expect the size of your pomsky to be smaller than average.

Pomeranian Husky Mix

A 50/50 cross breed, meaning the pomsky is 50% husky and 50% Pomeranian, will be larger than the 25/75 because it is 50% husky (which is much larger than the Pomeranian).

A 25/75 cross breed, meaning the pomsky is 25% husky and 75% Pomeranian, is smaller than the average 50/50 pomsky and will be closer in size to the Pomeranian.

A 75/25 cross breed, meaning the pomsky is 25% Pomeranian and 75% husky is only slightly smaller than the average female husky and will be the largest of all the Pomeranian husky mix variations.

Remember to consult your pomsky breeder for more information about estimating your pomsky’s size or sourcing the best online dog supplies for them. If you’re uncertain about the credibility of your breeder, make sure to vet their credentials. Start by searching them up on a free people search tool using their full name (e.g. Delia Smith).
