How can we remove a stripped lug nut from our tires?

If you have stripped the hex faces, you can try a smaller socket and get it on with a hammer.

So if your car has 19mm lug nuts and the nuts faces are stripped you can go for a 18mm, 23/32 47/64 sockets.

The 18mm will be easiest to find.

Tap it on with a hammer and try breaking it loose with a breaker bar or an impact.

Best for for a deep/long socket so if you still have issues a good tap on the side should knock the socket loose, but if you can break it loose you can turn it by hand and it is best to go to the auto parts store and get a cheap socket bit that is $2 or so and a set of replacement lug nuts.

Now with the lug nuts the thread size and pitch should be printed on the nut, if they’re not use one of those thread/bolt testers and screw your nut on, if it does not go all the way it is incorrect
