Benjamin Banneker meant that the skin color has nothing to do with the strength you have. He said this because he thought that it should not matter about skin tone it only mattered that we all have the same abilities. In this essay you will learn about the life of Benjamin Banneker and how he wrote an almanac. Early life On November 9th 1731, Benjamin Banneker was born. Benjamin Banneker lived on his family’s farm. His parents were not slaves when they had him so Benjamin was born a free man not a slave. After 8th grade of school his father, Josiah Franklin died so he could not go to school anymore, so from there on he was taught by himself and his family. Then he made an almanac on different things like math and science. Makes the world better …show more content…

He was the first black inventor as well. Benjamin is mainly known famous for the almanac he wrote, this had all sorts of things in it like things about the solar eclipse,stars,science,and math. He had written things about the solar eclipse in the almanac because he was the first person to accurately predict a solar eclipse. Benjamin Banneker was the first African American appointed to the President, Capital Commission. Benjamin also produced a dissertation on bees. Later life For most of Benjamin Banneker's later life he was a survey taker, but he also did a produced a dissertation on bees. Benjamin Banneker died October 9,1806. Benjamin Banneker had a family burial at their burial home. While Benjamin had a burial his house caught on fire and burnt down. After all of this happened Benjamin Banneker had a stamp made in his owner.
