You can search for them regarding you know their username, at the top left corner of the app that usually brings up their name also with the option to follow them and what playlists they have for the public to view.

Hi @Tracymott38Here are 2 instructions to follow a person and to add someone to your plalist.1.-If you want to follow an artist just click on the "Follow Button" on his Artist Page(now you get notifications when he releases new music your stuff like that...)-If you want to follow your friend for example, there are 2 possibilities to do that. Weather you just search the name in the search box on Spotify (but that's only working perfectly when you and your friend is connected with facebook), or when you only know the username of your friend and you or your friend is not connected to facebook then type this in the Spotify Search Box: "spotify:user:username"(just replace the username with your friend ones)2.Now if you want to have a playlist with your friend so you both can add or delete tracks that's the way it should work:-make your specific playlist public(just right click on the playlist to get to this option), now the playlist shows on your profile-now make sure that your friend follows your playlist(he can now find it easily on your profile page)-if he follows your playlist make again a right click on the playlist and click on "Collaborative Playlist"-now you both can add songs to itLittle note: If you don't want to make your playlist public, then just copy the playlist link and send the link to your friend, he now gets directly to your playlist and can follow it from there!Hope I could help;)Quanty
