ReversedBreathing View Profile View Posts 18 May, 2014 @ 3:14pm How do I get out of a full screen game without quitting it? I want to get out of fullscreen and get back to the desktop but after pressing every button on my keyboard and googling for a solution for 10 minutes I still can't get out of the game and back to the desktop without quitting the game. I have a windows 8. < > Showing 1-15 of 17 comments

Must be a new game.Besides that, the standard way is to hold down the left Alt key, and press Tab. Games can block that, though, in which case you are probably out of luck. You can try the Windows key too.If everything fails, try Clt-Alt-Del and choose to run the Task Manager. With some luck, this will drop you back to the deskop. However, as the other options have already failed, this might also screw up the screen instead, as the game most likely isn't going to cooperate. #1

TianZer View Profile View Posts 1 Sep, 2017 @ 4:23am Try Windows key,or the Alt+Tab. If all of them don't work, try using the Ctrl +Alt+Delete to open the Taskmgr, which could help you back to the desktop. If it is possible, try running your game with borderless windows instead of fullscreen. It is more convenient to switch between game and desktop without any quit.
