How do I know if my old Magic band is working? I have magic bands from about 5 years ago and was planning to reuse the one for my daughter but I just realized I don't know if it will work. Is there a way to test them? Howdy Nicole!Welcome to planDisney! Your vacation to “The Most Magical Place on Earth” is “Just Around the Riverbend!” Thank you for sharing your questions with us!I love the ease of exploring the theme parks with little more than my MagicBand! Typically the battery in a MagicBand will only last for around two years. If you decide to link your theme park tickets to an older MagicBand and find out that the battery is not working upon entrance to the theme parks, you can utilize your My Disney Experience. Your My Disney Experience will allow you to enter your Disney Resort Collection hotel, the theme parks, mobile food ordering, and so much more! There is no way to know if your older MagicBand battery is still working until you get to the Walt Disney World Resort, and a Cast Member at your Disney Resort Collection hotel or the theme parks can check to see if your MagicBand is working. If you find out that your MagicBand battery is not working, the gift shop in your Disney Resort Collection hotel or the shops in the theme parks are offering several stylish options right now! If you decide not to take the chance on your older MagicBand, I recommend checking all the options on the shopDisney website! They have quite a few MagicBands that I have my eye on! MagicBand designs are constantly changing, so if you find one that is “Practically Perfect” for you, I recommend purchasing it as soon as possible! As you continue to plan your visit to Neverland, I recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog to stay informed of everything to see and do during your visit! If you have any more questions, please come back to planDisney! We look forward to helping you with all your planning questions, Nicole!See Ya Real Soon,Tamela
