Before syncing your controller to your Wii, you'll need to open the battery lid located on the back of the MiniRemote and insert 2 “AA” batteries and thread the wrist strap through the hole at the bottom of the remote. Please use the wrist strap at all times to prevent losing your grip on the remote and causing damage to the remote and surrounding objects, or injury to other people.

Sync the MiniRemote™ with your console:

1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote. Press and release the SYNC button inside the cover. The Player LEDs will blink.
3. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the compartment.

When the Player LED stops blinking, connection is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number.

After 3-5 minutes of inactivity the MiniRemote will enter “Sleep Mode” to conserve battery life. Press any button to reactivate the remote.
