Verified484.5k+ viewsHint: Vascular plants or Tracheophytes, are a more dominant group of plants present in the world. Vascular plants can be divided into Vascular plants and seedless vascular plants. Complete answer:Seedless Vascular plants lack Flowers and Seed. These Vascular Plants Reproduce through Spores. The plants reproduce by haploid and unicellular spores. The spores are very light and it allows for easy dispersion in the wind. They are Adapted to land and contain a Waxy cuticle that prevents water loss and vascular tissue, it transports water and nutrients. The Seedless vascular plants have the capacity to spread to different types of habitat. These plants depend on water during the fertilization process for sperm motility during sperm reproduction and are found in moist environments.Seedless plants reproduce through asexually or sexually. Many seedless plants reproduce through asexual mode of reproduction through Budding, cutting, fragmentation, layering, micro propagation, and vegetative method. Example : mosses, hornworts and liverwortsThe sexual reproduction occurs through spores. The plants that undergo sexual reproduction are Ferns, Horsetails, and club mosses. Seedless plants have an alternative generation in their life cycle. They have a diploid saprophytic stage. Here, the spores are formed and later become the gametophyte. The gametophytes are haploid structures. The male and female gametophyte produce gametes and these gametes fuse to form a diploid plant. In seed plants, fertilization occurs by pollination. After the fertilization process, the seeds are formed from the ovules. These seeds are used for sowing in the soil produce new plantsNote: Seedless vascular plants include Ferns, horsetails and mosses. Seedless vascular plants grow longer when compared to other plants. These Seedless plants help in prevention of soil erosion.
