if it was out of the loaded chunks, you still have a little while to get them. if it was fairly close to you, you may as well, say goodbye. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack Mods make it better!- Redstone Miner

Should've used Rei's Minimap. As to how you can get it back now, sorry. Good luck with that. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack[Overused Signature Goes Here]

Don't raid temples unless you know what you're doing. If you must do so, don't take your valuables in with you, because you will get blown up and they will too. In this case, they've exploded and you can't get them back (same goes for the TNT and contents of the chests). Hopefully, this will be a lesson for next time. Rei's minimap death point is cheating, plain and simple. You're supposed to lose items to dying every once and a while, not be eternally having everything. Either a) Try to remember which biome was after the one you were in and go in that direction until you find it again or- Carpenter

I don't think finding your stuff will be that difficult even without Rei's minimap. You have to have a rough idea of the direction in which you headed from the spawn. Now, all you have to do is switch to creative and fly towards that direction or you can just walk there so that you don't feel guilty for cheating. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- Diamond Miner

Might wanna edit out that emoticon so it doesn't look like you're trolling. I've had that happen to me multiple times, I wish such a common key combo wasn't used there. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- Coal Miner

The only feature I use on Rei's Minimap is the waypoints (as most open world games tend to use a similar feature). The deathpoint marker seems to be an unfair advantage in my opinion. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- Zombie Killer

Not everyone likes using mods. That's not necessarily true. They will despawn in 5 minutes IF the chunk where your items are is loaded. If you're "far away" those chunks will not be loaded and the "despawn timer" will not run. The best tip I can give would be to be more aware of the direction you're headed in and the direction of your spawn from your current location. f3 can be a BIG help in this department. Having exact coordinates will make everything much easier. I usually note my current coordinates before attempting anything I think may get me killed. If you have access to Ender Chests (even a regular chest would work) I would carry one on me and dump my most valuable stuff in there before attempting anything reckless as well. If you've got quick reflexes you may even be able to place it and dump your inventory in there before dying to some surprise attacks. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- Coal Miner

You should just use the F3 + F2, if you haven't, and respawned (whick a lot do in a hurry) you can say goodbye IF you don'tknow where is the place you died. Try looking for biomes that are around the death point or biomes that you remember you passed going there. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- Zombie Killer

walkj around with your coordinates on so if you die you can have them open and screenshot. Do this when you dont know where you are so you can come back. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- Carpenter

REaly start writing down coordinates of important locations and like others said, note which direction you are going, or mark your way with torches. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- View User Profile

Coordinates are always the best way. If you've got a minimap, good for you, but not everyone mods their game. And even some of us who mod don't like to use minimap mods. Anyway, it's always best not to go adventuring until you've gotten yourself set up somewhere, and then only take the absolutely necessary tools and armor for it. Never take things you really can't replace. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack- Enderdragon Slayer

Perhaps you can look at the date before posting; last I saw it wasn't 2013. Anyway, I've previously used Rei's minimap, not necessarially only for the death points feature, although I did use it as otherwise there's like a 0.0001% chance of me finding where I died in time (in caves); I also previously once made a backup copy of my world and after finding where I died (too late) I restored the backup and just ran and dug down over where I died. Nowadays I use a feature I modded in myself, which shows your last death point in the inventory screen, not that I really need it much (zero deaths in my current world so far, only one of three in my previous world was in a cave where I otherwise didn't know exactly where I was). Of course, there's also the time I died in lava and just reverted to a backup of my world, losing around 6 hours of progress (which wasn't really much, just exploring caves), but much preferable to having to enchant new equipment (even more so now as I use mod items that are extremely expensive to enchant and hard to find resources for; I don't even have enough resources to make a new set of gear without a lot of mining, just barely find enough to repair them as is; that said, all the stuff I mine is put in an Ender chest where it is safe, but I could do without that stuff). Rollback Post to Revision RollBackTheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download. TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4. Why do I still play in 1.6.4?

This is a dead thread; look at the date before posting. Your advice would most likely not help a question regarding a world from 2 years ago. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack Faith in humanity lowered.
