Greetings!
My education continues...
I have made a video (my first!) and I want to share it online (not via Youtube-maybe my own link? Different question, different time I know, I know! :) ). Anyways, this video has my name and other information I would like to remove before sharing. I have seen old posts here in the forum from 2014 regarding this subject and at the time it didn't seem like there were many programs (if any) that could accomplish this on a Mac.
It's 2021. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a program or has other information that could help now?
Thank you for your time...it is always so very much appreciated!!

- MR Why does Apple strip exif data, change original creation date and now strip other data like keywords, captions, etc., with no clear methods EVER offered to maintain image information integrity? I may no longer be able to use this platform because I can't keep required information intact without complicated workarounds or physically attaching information individually. Have I missed something? 430 7
- Editing a video's exif in Apple Photos makes it impossible to export it to desktop/Finder in full quality This all started when I was using Photos on my iPad to manage all my photos and videos. I've noticed that moving the videos (from my Lumix camera) from Photos to Files app reduces their quality (about 1/4 of original size, with visible compression artifacts). I didn't find a solution to that problem, but I thought that maybe macOS will do better in this regard. Now, on my Mac I think I've finally found what's causing that - it's editing the exif data of my videos (it's necessary, since they always appear 1 or 2 hours too late. Even worse if they're imported from a different program). Example: I have a 99.7MB 4k clip imported to Photos from Lightroom. It has a wrong time on it - LR export time, not the actual time I took the video. a) without changing anything, I drag this video from Photos to my desktop. The video keeps the same 99.7MB size b) I correct the exif data inside the Photos app. If I drag it to my desktop now, it ends up being compressed to 59.7MB (although it's still 99.7MB in Photos) Is this how it's supposed to behave? 2102 5
- Having trouble searching for imported video in Photos Hi, While browsing Photos in my MacBook Pro I saw an old video that had come off of someone else's device (so, basically I imported it somehow). I did add a "key word" to help me find the video again. A few hours later I can't bring the video up by searching. So, either I THOUGHT I added a key word but I did not - OR there's some other reason - like, I don't know, maybe imported videos aren't included in the search? Any idea or have I just gone bonkers? I have used exiftool to modify or add metadata (date, title, description, author, keywords) to movies although sadly movie metadata is poorly stardardized and many apps use that info very differently so it is a moving target.

I think this is what you need. https://www.fireebok.com/resource/batch-remove-all-metadata-tags-from-video-files-on-mac.html
This program seems be able to delete all metadata tags from a video with one click.

Matti,
Thank you so much for your reply. That's the kind of the information I'm seeming to find everywhere I've looked so far. I wanted to make sure I asked some of you experts before I "went with" what I'm being told. Photos it seems like we can find apps etc to help...video not as much. It seems rather maddening to find a straight answer about video.
I have seen this exiftool talked about in some of the articles I've researched...now that I hear about it here too - I'm off to check it out!
Thanks again Matti! Stay safe and well.
