I have lots of ammo for weapons that I do not need. I have gone to a vendor at a train station and to an ammo vending machine. I don’t have the option to sell ammo at any of these locations. Is this something to do with my charisma? How are you supposed to sell ammo in this game?

It isn’t possible to sell ammo to NPC vendors in Fallout 76. It was possible in previous games but due to caps being an important part of the games economy, being able to sell ammo would result in players having huge amounts of caps. The only way to sell ammo in this game is to sell it to other players using a vending machine.
