Chongqing Chinese,Cantonese,Sichuan dialect Hi, I was teaching a kid animals and I showed him some pictures. I showed him a monkey and I asked: How does monkey sound? He then made the sound of monkey to me. Is the question okay? Thanks a lot Edited: It's monkey not money. I typed a bit fast. I am sorry for that. Last edited: Feb 26, 2019sdgraham

English - U.S. We would normally say "What sound does a monkey make?" In your sentence it would also need an "a".Silver

Australia Australian English If you asked him to tell you English words that describe the noises/sounds a monkey makes (instead of simply imitating the noises) he might say: grunting, squeaking, chattering, screeching etc..Silver
