Original poster Feb 1, 2008 413 3 I have decided not to pre-sign, for fear of iPhone theft. So, how early do I have to wake up tomorrow? I don't want to miss the delivery. It is arriving via UPS, I am in the US, in a suburb of a major city. I know a lot of people's UPS tracking says "by 10:30 AM", but how much earlier than that might UPS arrive? My personal guess is 8 AM, but I don't have good data. My reasoning is this: At 7:50 AM, most offices and many residences will not be available to sign for things, so UPS probably doesn't bother attempting that early. Do I need to wake up at 7 AM to be safe? I don't want to miss it. Also, I will be working from home all day, I realize that it may not arrive until really late - I think 8:45 PM was mentioned by someone on this forum from a past launch day.armoredsaint

Mar 12, 2010 182 0 Baltimore, MD Generally UPS sets delivery hours between 9 am and 7 pm, although I've had sooner, and later, deliveries. I know my delivery time frame states before 10:30, but I'm not holding my breath yet. It will be a nice surprise if so. Nnostresshere

Whether or not that's accurate, you need to sit down with that smart response. Click to expand...I know someone who works as a UPS driver and they will leave it if you have the apple pre-sign form. The reason for this, at least for Apple, is they have special arrangement with the carrier and UPS can do it. Of course it is still up to the driver's discretion, but they are allowed to if they feel it's Ok. Generically pre-signing for a package, like through UPS MyChoice, they won't do (it mentions it on their site), which is most likely what the person you talked to thought you were referring to. H

Sep 13, 2012 863 0 UPS delivers to my office at a little before 8:15. I suspect as we are one of the first on his route, they must leave the terminal at 8. Are we all sure they are coming via UPS, my driver says that both UPS AND FedEx will be delivering iPhones tomorrow. Rrugox

Jun 11, 2008 438 190 It depends where you live and how close you are to the commercial routes. My old residence was near a very commercial area and had several businesses working out of residences. It was upscale for the community. UPS always delivered by noon. My new house is three miles away in the same zip code. It is completely residential. The homes sell for similar to my old neighborhood. UPS deliveries rarely come before 5 pm and as late as 8:30 pm. The norm is 5:30 pm. It drives me nuts! My UPS tracking says. Scheduled Delivery: Friday, 09/21/2012, by 3:00 P.M.(by end of day for residential deliveries) Good luck all! Last edited: Sep 20, 2012 Rrnizlek

Click to expand...As far as I know, all deliveries from Apple (or upwards of 95% of them) are coming via UPS. AT&T and Verizon orders (and perhaps Sprint, I'm not sure) are coming via FedEx, as these carriers have long standing agreements with FedEx.

Apr 22, 2010 983 196 Southeast USA Here's a question: I live in a condo and there is a front office with a manager on duty during business hours. Do you guys know if you leave a note on the front door to please leave the package with the building manager, if UPS would do that? The USPS is fine doing that, and have even allowed the building manager to sign for packages for me that require a signature. Do I need to call them to arrange that? Thanks to anyone who has experience with this... Ffordhamr

Log into Apple.com > Order Status and next to "Track Shipment" there is a button that saids "Pre-sign For Delivery" YOU CAN PRE-SIGN. Dont give false info.
