Building off of everything that was introduced in the first game, Bioshock 2 worked to refine that existing formula while adding several new mechanics of its own. Its biggest change, however, was flipping the original game's script on its head by placing players in the shoes of a Big Daddy, offering them a whole new perspective as they once again made their way through the underwater city of Rapture. Bioshock 2 is set eight years after the events of the first game. Not much has changed in all that time, and you'll quickly find that the streets of Rapture are still overrun by Splicers. But playing as a Big Daddy means you have a host of new options available for dealing with them, like the ability to dual wield a primary weapon and a plasmid at the same time. Your interactions with other Big Daddies and their Little Sisters are also altered, with your ability to adopt the latter after defeating the former.

How Long Does It Take To 100% Complete Bioshock 2?

Unlike the previous game, players are prevented from returning to prior levels in Bioshock 2. This means they'll want to be as thorough as possible if their goal is to 100% complete each one. The game also received two major pieces of downloadable content: The Protector Trials and Minerva's Den. Each one puts the player in the shoes of a different Big Daddy while giving them more missions to get through that take place outside of the main campaign.
