Sentinel Crystals replace the Argent Cells from DOOM (2016) and are items that offer stat upgrades to ammo, armor and health. Players can find 12 Sentinel Crystals scattered throughout the game which can be used to unlock six Sentinel Crystal abilities. Each ability has two upgrades that can be purchased using one Crystal apiece, and once both upgrades have been purchased the ability automatically unlocks a passive upgrade.
Lastly, players looking for an added challenge will want to keep an eye out for secret encounters. DOOM Eternal has eight secret challenges, and each must be defeated within 30 seconds. Successfully completing these timed challenges awards players with Weapon Points that can be used to unlock weapon modifications.
