my firestick lasted from Dec. 2018 until August 1, 2020. I put a new fire stick in and all is great. Everything I tried did not work so had to replace the firestick. I think that is unreasonable. Yes | Report I've had my firestick since 2017 and now in the very beginning of 2023 it's not connecting to the internet and keeps disconnecting. Other devices connecting fine but not the stick. I have two firesticks that were purchased two months apart in 2015. Recently, I had to constantly restart them. A few weeks ago, one completely stopped working. Today the other one stopped working. I get the amazon logo on the tv but cannot move from there. ive changed the batteries and disconnected the firestick and reinstalled mins later but still the same issue. is there a way to unlock or did it go bad. It's really a question of how long it works as intended. How long before your nice fresh snappy fire stick starts getting slow and glitchy because of the updates that Amazon forces. In my experience it starts slowing down about 18 months after purchase and by the time you've added for about 2 and 1/2 years, you're looking at buying a new one on prime day...which is probably exactly as Amazon intends it D. Freezes, gets "stuck," says there is an issue with the internet when there is not (it is connected to the fastest internet there is and its still slow as hell), won't work consistently.... clumsy, slow, buggy tech. Now it’s January 2021, and we’ll...it works, but it constantly cuts off and on by itself, will disconnect from the internet saying there’s problems with the internet when there’s not. I’ve tried fixing it but there’s no fix. Though considering they typically last about 2 years mines doing pretty good since I’m 3 years and a month in. Do you? | Report I ordered three fire sticks in October 2019 and two of them have failed in March 2021. I’m expecting the 3rd soon. Most reviews i read said it would last 3-5 years. Disappointed. I would think the product would last longer. I discover there is a limit on returning after certain date usually one year.
