Anonymous answered Goliath had 4 brothers Daisy Sarma answered Most of us know the story of David and Goliath. This is one of the staple stories that we heard when we were in school. Goliath was a giant who was defeated by young David. While all of us know about David and Goliath, we do not really know too much about Goliath's brothers. There is no direct reference anywhere about the number of brothers Goliath had. Since this is from way back, we have no way of checking out how many of them actually were there. We can only surmise about this, and pick up hints wherever available. There is a hint of it in the Bible - as to how many brothers Goliath actually had - in 2 Samuel 21:18-22. The hint comes from the fact that David actually picked up five smooth sling stones. Apparently this was so he would be prepared in case Goliath's brothers decided to come into the fight too.
