Skip-Bo, produced by Mattel, is played with a deck of 162 cards. The majority of the deck is comprised of 12 sets of cards numbered 1-12, which make up 144 of the 162 total. The remaining 18 cards are wild “Skip-Bo” cards that can be played as any number.

Prior to Mattel’s purchase of the rights to distribute Skip-Bo in 1992, International Games produced a version with six extra “Skip-Bo” cards, for a total of 168. To build a version of Mattel’s Skip-Bo deck, use three decks of 54 cards (including jokers). Ace through queen replace the basic cards, and the kings and jokers make up the 18 “Skip-Bo” wild cards.
