Have you ever wondered how much weight you’re actually carrying around on your chest every day?

Have you ever wondered whether your breasts weigh more or less than a newborn polar bear? Or perhaps a Persian kitten?

Well, wonder no more. Because the Japanese branch of US lingerie company Genie has created a handy chart which helps you visualise the strain your breasts could be putting on your neck and shoulders.

They have taken the average weight of each cup size and worked out what that would look like in the animal kingdom.

So, if you wear an A-cup, your breasts probably weigh the equivalent of two chipmunks. But, if you’re an F-cup, you’re hauling round a three-month-old Persian kitten every day. And so on.

It’s very enlightening.

Cup sizes and their animal equivalent:

• A-cups weigh 236.3g, the equivalent of two chipmunks
• B-cups weigh 447.5g, the equivalent of five cockatiels
• C-cups weigh 531.3g, the equivalent of one newborn polar bear cub
• D-cups weigh 758.8g, the equivalent of one wigeon duck
• E-cups weigh 1,006.4g, the equivalent of one Netherland Dwarf rabbit
• F-cups weigh 1,180g, the equivalent of one three-month-old Persian kitten

And, if you find it easier to visualise breast weight in terms of foodstuffs, don’t worry, because Genie have solved that problem too.

They’ve taken the weight of your breasts and worked out how much that would be in pancake batter.

Those with A-cups could make an impressive stack of 11 pancakes, while F-cups would be left with a towering plate of 39 pancakes.
