Compensation for Surrogate Mothers

Surrogate mothers are compensated for their emotional, physical and mental dedication to their surrogacy journey. In Texas, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Ohio, and across the U.S., a surrogate mother can earn between $55,000 to $65,000, which includes base pay and benefits/expenses. A single fetus can earn a surrogate $40,000+ and an additional $5-10,000 for a multiple birth. An experienced gestational carrier typically receives a higher compensation.

Other Possible Covered Expenses for Surrogate Mothers

Lost wages (if carrier is employed & is w/o disability insurance) Based on Salary Housekeeping (if carrier is confined to bed during pregnancy) $50 per week Child care (if carrier is confined to bed during pregnancy) $10-15 an hour Child care when performing duties under the contract (i.e. Doctors Visits) $10-15 an hour Spouse’s lost wages when attendance is required $1,500 cap Health insurance
