Vasectomy Reversal Procedure Fees – Reduced

In these challenging times, we have managed to lower the overall cost of a vasectomy reversal surgery to help restore your dreams of having a child. There are three components of the vasectomy reversal procedure. These include the fees for the surgeon, the anesthesia and the facility where the surgery is performed. After performing thousands of microsurgical procedures over the years, MFS is able to offer vasectomy reversals at a lower cost than many other physicians. Our staff has negotiated reduced fees in a highly accredited surgical facility, and we are pleased to pass the savings on to our patients.

Our fee schedule is easy to understand, without surprises or hidden costs. If there are additional procedures or tests necessary, the MFS staff gives a written estimate before the procedure to make sure that you have a full understanding of all fees and costs involved.

All vasectomy reversal procedures at MFS are performed personally by Dr. Martin Bastuba, M.D., F.A.C.S.

  • Will my insurance cover a vasectomy reversal?

Most insurance plans do not cover vasectomy reversal since it is considered an elective, non-essential procedure. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your insurance provider to see if any portion of the costs – such as consultations or diagnostic testing – might be covered. Some patients also use health savings accounts (HSA) or flexible spending accounts (FSA) to help offset the expense.

  • What else should I consider when getting a vasectomy reversal?

When choosing a vasectomy reversal, consider the following:

    • Surgeon’s Experience: Success rates improve with a surgeon who specializes in microsurgical vasectomy reversal.
    • Time Since Vasectomy: Reversals performed within 10 years of a vasectomy tend to have higher success rates.
    • Additional Procedures: In some cases, sperm retrieval for IVF may be recommended as an alternative.
    • Recovery Time: Plan for a few days of downtime and follow post-op care instructions closely for optimal results.
  • Are there any hidden costs or fees?

At MFS, we pride ourselves on providing clear, upfront pricing with no hidden fees. The all-inclusive fee of $8,628 covers the surgeon's fee, anesthesia, and facility charges. However, it's important to note that a $1,200 non-refundable deposit is required when scheduling the procedure. While our pricing is comprehensive, any additional procedures or tests deemed necessary will be discussed with you in advance, and a written estimate will be provided to ensure full transparency.
