That is a nice motor. Clean and rust free as far as I see. #3 · Jan 7, 2003 I would pay less for it than one made for the USDM market. #4 · Jan 7, 2003 True, but I would like a J-Spec motor for my MKIII 2jz project. Would make it interesting!!! #5 · Jan 7, 2003

If you were going to go single, no reason not to use the JDM motor. In fact, that's a great idea ... hrm. #6 · Jan 7, 2003 Linkie dont workie.. #7 · Jan 7, 2003 I know that the place that I get them from is $5800 ish for a 0 mile 2jz-gte with 3yr/unlimited mile warranty #8 · Jan 7, 2003 good lord.. $5800.. maybe its cause of the warrenty but i thought NEW 0mile shortblocks from Toyota are like $2000 and thats a damn steal if you ask me!! btw thats a hilarious signature l0l :D #9 · Jan 7, 2003 yes... 2k for the SHORTBLOCK.......... #10 · Jan 7, 2003 Re: yes...

And it includes shipping to your door!!! #11 · Jan 7, 2003 speaking of new motors... Speaking of complete motors for sale, there is a brand new 2jz-gte for sale on ebay right now. I believe it comes with stock turbos and everything, and the guy is asking for $10,000 buy it now price. I'm sure it will sell for cheaper. The link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1876416848 mav #12 · Jan 7, 2003 Re: speaking of new motors...

If he wants $10k for a stock one, I'd opt to pay the $7k for a race block from Titan. #13 · Jan 7, 2003 303: Yeah, thats for the complete engine with warranty, not just the shortblock. Mav7: Yeah, I also like have its a $25,000 engine. Yeah, Maybe if you bought a complete supra, took out the engine, and junked the rest of the car. Plus it already has miles on it... #14 · Jan 7, 2003 WiReDiCoN you have been most helpful. And yes, im wondering about the WHOLE engine, not just the shortblock. Quick - If you were going to go single, no reason not to use the JDM motor. Please Explain. Is it cause the 2jz-gte motor is designed for twin turbos only? Im pertty new to supras, and i would love to be the owner of one in the future, so bear with me fellows. thanks again. #15 · Jan 7, 2003 sourpatchkid -- check the faq section and do a search for JDM vs USDM JZA80 Supra differences. The main differences are the turbos and lack of EGR in the JDM version. The lack of EGR is a good thing according to some, and if you're going single, then who cares about the turbos? HTH. #16 · Jan 7, 2003 Definitely its a clean engine. #17 · Jan 7, 2003 (Edited) The other reason I think Quick mentioned if you were going single and there being no reason not to use the Jspec motor is 1. Jspec turbo's use ceramic turbine blades, whereas the US spec uses steel. End result, too much boost on the Jspec (ceramic blades) and they run the risk of melting. The US are MUCH more resistance to the added heat with more boost. Another think to note, the jspec turbo's seem to spool up a bit quicker and seem a bit torquier (sp) due to the lightness of the ceramic blades. But, your going to get rid of those anyways, right ;) 2. The jspec GTE motor comes with 430cc (High impedance) injectors, and the US model comes with 540cc (low impedance) injectors. Moreover, when going single your choices are limited on high flow (high impedance) injectors, you may want to wire in the US solenoid resistor for the low impedance injectors. Going single will allow you to dump those little squirters on the stock motor :) Good luck #18 · Jan 8, 2003 MDeal13797: Matt, Your mailbox is full.
