DAKOTA Johnson was part of the entertainment industry before she was even born – and now she’s standing out all on her own.

Who is Dakota Johnson?

Dakota is the daughter of two Hollywood heavyweights – Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.

Born October 4, 1989, Dakota is 29 years old.

Raised in Aspen, Colorado, before moving to California, the star has worked as a model before becoming an actress.

She has six half-siblings – four from her dad’s other relationships, and two from her mothers.

As her own career began to grow, she was named Miss Golden Globe in 2016.

What films would I have seen her in?

Dakota is most known for her role as Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of E.L. James’ Fifty Shades trilogy.

The role had her recognised as a Rising Star at the BAFTA awards, although she ultimately didn’t win the gong when she was nominated in 2015.

Other high-profile films she’s taken part in include The Social Network, 21 Jump Street and The Five-Year Engagement.

She also fronted the cast on How to be Single, and featured in Need for Speed.

How long has she been dating Chris Martin?

Dakota is currently dating Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin.

Chris, who was previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow, has been seen bringing the star along on his tour, and enjoying dates with her in Los Angeles.

The frontman was most recently linked to 21-year-old Dua Lipa after breaking up with actress Annabelle Wallis.

The pair were first linked back in October 2017 and they eventually sealed the romance with a trip to Paris to see Nick Cave in concert.

Back in January, Dan Wootton revealed Don Johnson had given the couple his seal of approval after meeting with Chris in person – and said they are a perfect match.
