Dolph Lundgren is a Swedish actor, martial artist, producer, and director, best known for his role as a Soviet athlete in Rocky IV. Born in 1957 in the Stockholm area, he grew up passionate about sports, particularly martial arts and karate. He studied chemical engineering at the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and later continued his studies in Sydney, Australia, while competing in and winning several karate championships during the 1980s.

In 1985, Lundgren starred opposite Sylvester Stallone in Rocky IV, a role that launched his international acting career. He went on to appear in numerous films, including Red Scorpion, The Punisher, Universal Soldier (with Jean-Claude Van Damme), Penthatlone, Man of War, Johnny Mnemonic (with Keanu Reeves), Silent Trigger, The Peacekeeper, The Black Jack, and others. Since the 2000s, he has focused on directing and producing, with notable projects including Missionary Man and Common Performance.

Dolph Lundgren also joined the ensemble cast of The Expendables alongside Sylvester Stallone, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, and other action movie stars.He currently lives in California and is a devoted soccer fan.
