Future Trunks became an instant fan favourite when he sliced and diced Mecha Frieza in Dragon Ball Z. But the coolest thing about him is that he came from the Future! While our Trunks was just a baby, Future Trunks was already a man, which left everyone asking how old is Future Trunks?

Future Trunks is 18 years old during the Cell Saga and is 30 years old during the Goku Black Saga. Future Trunks uses the Hyperbolic Time Chamber twice, so his physical body is two years older than his chronological age.

How old is Future Trunks in the Android Saga?

Future Trunks was born in Age 766 in his timeline but didn’t time travel to our favourite Universe until Age 784. So Future Trunks was 18 when we see him kill King Cold and Frieza, and warn the Z warriors about the upcoming Android threat.

How old is Future Trunks in the Cell Saga?

After the Android Saga, Future Trunks time travels again back to his own timeline. We then see him reappear again when the actual Androids come back later.

However, Future Trunks doesn’t actually age, as he time travels to the Cell Saga directly after he appears in the Android Saga.

So Future Trunks is still 18 during the Cell Saga. But Vegeta and Future Trunks spend two days in the Time Chamber, which means they aged two years.

Future Trunks now has the body of a 20-year-old, even though he should be 18 chronologically.

But to be honest, when you are time travelling so much, your chronological age becomes less relevant. So Future Trunks is 20 years old now for all intents and purposes.

How old is Future Trunks when Gohan dies?

We see in a flashback Future Trunks explain how Future Gohan was killed by the Androids in his timeline.

This happened in Age 780, which makes Future Trunks 16 years old when he sees his last friend and mentor get destroyed by Android 17 and Android 18.

How old is Future Trunks in Super?

Inbetween the Cell and Buu saga, there was a massive time skip. A lot of time also passed for Future Trunks as well until he was attacked by Goku Black and Zamasu.

The events of the Dragon Ball Super Goku Black Saga take place in Age 796 in the Future Timeline, which makes Future Trunks 30 years old when he comes in back time seeking help from our Goku and Vegeta.

Although, of course, his body is 32 years old if we take into account his two previous years in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
