Gillian Anderson is an amazingly talented American actress, born on August 9, 1968, in Chicago. She trained at The Theatre School at DePaul University and started her career on stage, winning Best Newcomer at the 1990–91 Theatre World Awards. Soon after, she moved to Los Angeles and appeared in her first feature film, The Turning, followed by Playing by Heart alongside Sean Connery and Ellen Burstyn.

Gillian gained worldwide fame for her role as Dana Scully in The X-Files, appearing across 11 seasons and earning numerous awards, including Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globes. She continued her impressive career with roles in Hannibal, The Fall, and The Crown, winning her second Emmy for portraying Margaret Thatcher. In 2022, she played Eleanor Roosevelt in the TV series The First Lady.
