How Old Is Itachi?

The Naruto series has two distinct parts separated by canonical time; there are four years between the segments. Itachi is featured much more prominently in part two, which deals with the Great Ninja War, and both times Itachi died.

Itachi is 17 years old at the beginning of part one; he is five years older than his brother Sasuke and his unpleasant acquaintance Naruto.

Itachi was as talented as he was cold and bloodthirsty, which explains why Itachi was 13 years old when he became Anbu Captain.

How Old Is Itachi in Naruto Shippuden?

The Naruto Shippuden anime series roughly matches the later part two; it advances the timeline four years ahead.

The math is pretty simple; add four. Itachi is 21 years old in Naruto Shippuden. This means that Itachi was 21 years old both times he died.

The first time from sickness and weakness from battle, the second time at the hands of his brother, Sasuke.

What Episode Does Itachi Die In?

It seems appropriate to account for this renowned Kakashi Hatake hater’s dual deaths if we’re discussing the length of his life.

We can think of his first death as a brief pause in his life before the true end.

In a shocking turn, Itachi dies in episode 138 of Naruto Shippuden, fittingly entitled “The End.”

He would then be resurrected by reanimation jutsu and continue to live for 200 more episodes; these 200 episodes were not a happy time for the shady shinobi, making his eventual death more of a relief.

In the 200 episodes following his resurrection, Itachi was under the supernatural influence of Kabuto Yakushi before breaking free like Ariana Grande.

Itachi dies in episode 339 for the final time after Sasuke deals the final blow to his older brother.
