Jeff Daniels is a famous American actor, comedian, singer, and writer, known for his amazing duo with Jim Carrey in the comedy series Dumb and Dumber. He was born in 1955 in Georgia but grew up in Michigan, where he graduated from Eastern Michigan University drama school. He began his career on theater stages (including Broadway), and his cinema debut took place in 1981 with the movie "Ragtime". The next movie he played was Terms of Endearment (with Shirley MacLaine and Jack Nicholson), which made Jeff famous, and the next movie The Purple Rose of Cairo by Woody Allen brought Daniels Golden Globe Award nomination. In the late 1980s and 1990s he starred in such movies as Heartburn (with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep), The House on Caroll Street, Checking Out, Arachnophobia, Love Hurts, Timescape, Gettysburg, Speed (with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock), Redwood Curtain, 101 Dalmatians, Pleasantville (with Tobey Maguire), My Favorite Martian (with Christopher Lloyd).
