Selena was an American musician, singer, model, designer, and an actress. She was born as Selena Quintanilla in 1971 in Texas, to the family of Cherokee and Mexican origins. She was the youngest child of her parents and has been on stage since she was 9 years old. She started recording her first albums in early 1980 when she was just a teenager and her parents and siblings who are also musicians used to help her. Selena has gained the title of the Queen of Tejano Music (known also as Mex-Mex, which was mainly performed by male singers).
