Sora is the main protagonist of Kingdom Hearts 3 and numerous previous entries in the series. With the first game releasing in 2002 and the final entry in the trilogy releasing in 2019, it's no wonder fans are asking how old is Sora in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Sora.pngSquare Enix has yet to go on the record on Sora's exact age in Kingdom Hearts 3 so our answer is based solely on past games and where Kingdom Hearts 3 sits on the timeline.

How Old Is Sora in Kingdom Hearts 3

To start, the earliest game chronologically is Birth by Sleep. At the time of this prequel game for PSP, Sora is around four years old. From there, it jumps to the very first game in the series. Here, Sora is noted to be 14 years old.

Sora continues to be 14 years old from Kingdom Hearts through 358/2 Days until Kingdom Hearts 2 where he is 15. He is still 15 when the events of Dream Drop Distance on 3DS occur.

Chronologically, Kingdom Hearts 3 is expected to take place very shortly after the events of Dream Drop Distance as Sora seeks out power to defeat Xehanort and his Seekers of Darkness.

As such, we do not expect Sora in Kingdom Hearts 3 to be much older than he was in Dream Drop Distance, especially given the impending threat.

We believe that Sora will be around 16 years old in Kingdom Hearts 3. At the most, he could be 17 but we don't expect the time gap between the previous game and this one to be that large.
