The same engine Counter Strike and Half Life games are built...I mean I'd understand if it was built on Source 2 but wtf that's an old engine. < > Showing 1-7 of 7 comments ﷽﷽﷽﷽﷽﷽﷽﷽﷽﷽ View Profile View Posts 18 Mar, 2021 @ 1:10pm it’s a modified version of source #1 Youtube: BoyDilly View Profile View Posts 18 Mar, 2021 @ 2:05pm

what does it mean? It's still Valve's engine, right? Also why EA didn't use the engine BF5 uses, it's a more modern one. #2 Justice Potato View Profile View Posts 18 Mar, 2021 @ 2:10pm

Major segments of the code have been replaced with Respawn's.iirc, Apex as a project started prior to EA acquiring them, so they didn't have access to EA's resources. Correct me if I'm wrong but I doubt EA really did anything in terms of developing the game. They're just the publisher for the game, not really the developers. In other words, I don't think Respawn would've had access to EA's engine (or tools) at any point in time during development. #6 Izzy View Profile View Posts 26 Mar, 2021 @ 11:13am

Apex Legends is basically completely recycled Titanfall 2. And so they had to use the same heavily modified source engine that was used in its predecessor. #7 < > Showing 1-7 of 7 comments Per page: 1530 50 Apex Legends > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 18 Mar, 2021 @ 12:54pmPosts: 7 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
