King Charles III and Queen Camilla have officially been crowned in a historic ceremony at Westminster Abbey – with millions around the world watching the formalities, before they greeted the waiting crowds on the balcony at Buckingham Palace.

The couple posed on the balcony with several other members of the royal family – including the Prince and Princess of Wales as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, as the day was marked by a Red Arrows flypast.

As part of various ceremonies, we have often seen The King standing beside his children and grandchildren – and during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign we would often see her too, with family members towering over her.

Therefore, it’s hard not to wonder: Just how tall is the King and the rest of the Royal Family – and what height was Queen Elizabeth II?

How tall is King Charles and the rest of the royal family?

Queen Camilla is said to be around 5’8″ tall – while Princess Anne, the only daughter of The late Queen and Prince Philip, is understood to be 5’6″.

Prince Andrew and Prince Edward are reportedly both on the 6ft mark– although it’s Prince William who is believed to be the tallest member of the Royal Family, at 6’3″.

Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, is thought to be around 5’9″ – making her one of the tallest royal women – while Prince Edward‘s wife Sophie, The Duchess of Edinburgh, is believed to be 5’5″.

As for the Sussexes, Harry is thought to stand at 6’1 with wife Meghan around 5’6″.

How tall was The Queen?

While The Queen held a tremendous amount of power in the Royal Family, she certainly wasn’t the tallest.

Her Majesty stood at a petite 5’3, according to numerous estimates.

The late Prince Philip was thought to be 6ft, towering over his wife.

Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is believed to be just shorter than Kate at around 5’8″. Their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie stand at 5’4 and 5’5″ respectively.

And the late Diana, Princess of Wales was often described as an elegant and tall woman at 5’10”.
