I know I have! Which is why I created the brief guide below that solves the mystery of how to appear offline on Roblox. Your days of no privacy are over—prepare to be hidden!

How to appear offline on Roblox (PC and Mobile)

Though there isn't a specific toggle labeled "appear offline" on the Roblox website or in the app, it is possible, and can be done really easily. Follow the steps below (which are close to being the same for both PC and mobile) to learn more.

• Open your account settings by either selecting the cog icon from the top-right corner of the Roblox website and selecting Settings from the drop-down menu, or by clicking the three dots in the bottom-right corner of the Roblox app and selecting Settings.
• Select Privacy.
• Scroll down to the Communication heading and where it says Custom, change this setting to Off.
• Doing this will remove the ability for any player (friend or not) to chat/message you, join you in experiences, see your inventory, or add you to private servers. You will also no longer have the green dot next to your name, even if you're actively playing or browsing the website.

That's all there is to it! These settings can also be customized more specifically if you prefer to adjust certain permissions, so it doesn't have to be "all or nothing" if you don't want it to be.

How to appear offline on Roblox (Xbox)

Unfortunately, as it usually goes for Roblox's Xbox app, your Roblox offline status/profile settings cannot be changed on the Xbox. Instead, you'll need to follow the steps above and change your settings in either the app or on the website. If you want to appear offline on Xbox in general, that can be done by accessing your profile from the quick menu and selecting Appear offline—keep in mind, however, that you'll still appear online when using the Roblox app without going into your Roblox settings and turning your communication off, even if you're appearing offline on Xbox!
