Cancel Sam's Club Membership

Sam's Club is a membership-based wholesale retailer. Sign up with Sam's Club for a yearly fee and receive a Sam's Club card at $40 per year or $100 for an advanced membership. Members have access to any Sam's Club location nationwide and purchase products at discounted rates. Memberships are auto-renewed until cancelled.

According to the Terms of Service, while you may cancel your Sam's Club membership at any time, in order to get a full refund, you must cancel within 30 days of beginning your membership. If you cancel your Sam's Club membership after 30 days, you will be given a prorated refund based on the time lapse after the initial 30 days.

What You’ll Need:

• Sam’s Club card
• Photo I.D.
• Original membership agreement with date you signed on to become a member

Steps to Cancel:

You can cancel your membership anytime in person at one of the Sam’s Club locations. 

1. Gather the information above. 
2. Visit the Sam’s Club member services desk, located by the entrance of the Club. 
3. Provide the membership person with your Sam’s Club card and photo I.D.
4. State that you would like to cancel your membership.
5. Fill out appropriate paperwork and ask to obtain a copy of the cancelation paperwork for your records.
6. Review your bank or credit card statement associated with your Sam’s Club account 30 and 60 days after you cancel to make sure you have not been charged for another year’s membership.

• To cancel over the phone, call 888-746-7726 between Monday and Friday (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
• For optimal ease, cancel the membership after your year-contract expires.
