Brucey You'll have to replace those batteries sometime and not everyone is mechanically inclined. Instead of a trip to the garage or shop, you can pick up a battery at your local convenience or grocery store quickly and replace it yourself. There is a small trick to get the fob open and that is to remove the glove box key by pushing the silver button and use it to push open a small slot that is revealed. From there you can remove the battery and replace it. Easy peasy! If you need the battery you can grab a 5-pack of the required 2032 style battery here for less than I paid for my single battery at the store. If you have the key it's still pretty easy. You'll need a flathead screwdriver, steak knife, or the key fob key (; Just push it into the small slot and break it open. It all clicks apart and clicks back into place. You'll need a 1620-style watch battery. Here is a 5-pack for $5 shipped. Hope this helps someone! #1 · Feb 26, 2019 (Edited by Moderator) You'll have to replace those batteries sometime and not everyone is mechanically inclined.
